Hello and welcome everyone to the Texarkana Area Church Directory website.  My name is Terry Arendt,  your Texarkana Area Church Webmaster.  As you browse through this Directory,  I sincerely hope that you are able to find and locate the information you are seeking.  If not,  I hope the church for which you are searching will take a genuine interest in posting their page,  or web-site.

The Texarkana Church Directory has now been online for over a year, and there have already been over 10,000 visitors to this site searching for their favorite church websites.  There are over 700 churches in Texarkana and our surrounding communities, and if these averages were divided mathematically, each church would already have over seven new visitors!  Yes, the telephone book has served its' purpose for many years;  however, many more people today are now using the internet to find and locate much more than what the telephone book offers,  and those people are growing every day.

From the amount of email messages we receive,  many people question the temporary incomplete church pages displayed in the Directory.  The concept of this Directory is to provide every church an inexpensive church web-page and the convenience for visitors to easily locate their prospective church without having to know the churches'  URL or web address.  Churches that already have their own web-sites are invited to link their URL in the Directory,  replacing the existing temporary church page,  with their web-site FREE.

The Texarkana Church Directory, aside from the Denominations and Church listing pages, has many very interesting links for our Christian web-surfers, found on our Directory Annex Page.  The Annex Page also displays many of our local Texarkana area businesses who support our local churches and helped make The Texarkana Church Directory possible.  I would like to ask if anyone knows of any super-interesting Christian web-sites, please forward them to me and I'll include them onto the Annex Page to share with the community.

And last but not least,  there's been that phrase used  'So What's for FREE?'  I'm sure that many folks like things for free, donations, volunteer help, etc.,  but this Directory also has its' own financial obligations including internet server fees and advertising expenses,  plus the full-time maintenance of this web-site.  Having web-sites professionally developed can be very, very expensive;  thus, I have developed these small unique church information web-pages to keep prices down,  plus the addition of the Church Sponsorship Program.  This Directory is designed to help Christians find and locate their church easily,  plus help benefit every church sponsor with a degree of Christian business advertising.

I am very proud to announce our newest member to The Texarkana Church Directory staff.  My oldest grandson, Christopher L.,  has taken a very genuine interest in helping me with the development of The Directory, and we are working together to accomplish our mission.  At age 11, Christopher understands what a web-site can mean for each and every church in our area, and wants to help our churches achieve their link in the Directory.  "The best thing is knowing our church has a web-page on the internet.  Other people can visit us on the web.  And our Annual Calendar of Events helps everybody."
