- Does our Church really need a web-site?
Yes, your church needs a web-site! The Internet is here forever! Every church
in our community, whether a 10-member congregation or 2,000 members, wants to
reach out in every possible direction to spread and teach the Word of Christianity.
Currently, there have been more than 6,000 visitors searching this Directory for
additional church related information, and our visitors are growing in number every
day. The Texarkana Church Directory (online) is the number one web-site for people
to search and locate a church of their religious preferences. If one family in an entire
year chooses to become members of your church just from visiting your web-page,
then your mission as a church, here in the Directory, is complete.
- Why should we consider a web-page in the Directory?
 Friends without say, the most important reason is, of course, for our children.
Their own church web-site is extremely important to them. Just ask them.
Your church will be contributing to a vibrant and needed ministry effort on the

This really isn't a question of what your church page can do for your church, it is

attend in our area all the time, and your church may just be the one they're interested
in. You should display basic information about your church that people would like to

- We're listed in the phone book. Why do we need a web-site?
The telephone book has served a very useful purpose for many years, and still does;
however, more and more people are using the internet to locate and find more
additional information than what the telephone book has to offer. We often receive
emails requesting more information about different churches, and reply with only that
their information is not currently available. The internet is very swiftly becoming the
#1 source for locating information, and this Directory does receive many visitors.
- What is the Area milage limits for getting our church in the Directory?
The Texarkana Church Directory includes basically the same communities listed in
our area telephone books. There are approximately 55 communities and towns in
the Texarkana Metro area. Basic coverage for community churches in the Directory
extend about 35-40 miles from Texarkana. Email us if you would like to be included.
- Why is it important to list our Church web-site in the Directory?
Believe it or not, the URL (i.e. the www.com address on your browser), in most cases,
is difficult to find or locate unless you just happen to know the correct URL address.
For example, your URL may be http://www.texarkanachurchdirectory.com/ych574.htm.
It would be much easier for people to click on the name of your church, listed in the
Directory, than try to find your URL! Many people may be looking for your church.
Many people in the Texarkana area are now using the internet to look-up church
information, and your link in The Texarkana Church Directory is very, very important.
Linking your Church in the Directory will make it very easy for people to locate you.
- Our church has an incompleted web-page. What do we do?
The Texarkana Church Directory has posted a web-page for every church listed in the
Directory. Through your church, or the Church Sponsorship Program, your church web-
page may be completed with the information described by reviewing Plan A, Plan B, or
Plan C. If you prefer to have your church page omitted from the Directory, please let us
know. Please remember, your church is important to "everyone" in our community.
- Tell us a little more about the Church Sponsorship Program.
In order to help defray the cost of a web-site for your church, you may elect to fund the
cost for them. The Texarkana Church Directory is offering any business or individual
the opportunity to sponsor the church of their choice. In return, your business name
will be displayed on a special banner created for you on your church page with a direct
link to your business web-site, and you will receive a free link published on the Church
Sponsor's page. If your business does not have a web-site, we can build a simple web-
page for you. There is no additional cost in the Church Sponsorship program.
- What is the difference between Church-Site Plans "A", "B", and "C"?
Plan A contains basic church site information. This includes a photo of your church
and pastor, church address and telephone number, church membership, driving
directions, a church location map, church service times, an email button, a short
message about your church, and a special programs section. Your choice of gospel
midi music is also available. You may choose basically any background color or
select a background image from our church web-page Background Gallery.

Plan B church site has the same information as Plan A, plus your annual Calendar of
Events. Entries into your Calendar of Events may be handled by Email.
** Web-Page Rate (including free page set-up) for Plan B is $159.00
Plan C is our Directories "Economy" web-page. This page also contains basic church
site information, but is limited. This page includes a photo of your church and pastor,
church address and telephone number, church membership, driving directions, a church
location map, church service times, an email button, and a short pastor's message. Your
choice of gospel midi music is also available for your site.

- What is a "web-presence" page?
A web-presence page, such as the sample church page in Plan A, simply identifies
and reserves a "page" about your church on this site. Your web presence is necessary
for people to locate you.
- How do people from other cities and towns find our church?
The Texarkana Metro Area Church Directory advertises this internet web-site with the
"Christian Living Magazine," which is distributed monthly in our local area. The Texarkana
Chamber of Commerce will also recommend this Directory for finding and locating church
information. The Texarkana Church Directory may also be located through any of the major
internet search engines; i.e., Google.com or Mamma.com. The search engines provide people everywhere with information, for practically anything they're looking for.
- How do we get started with our church page?
Simple! Just send an email to TxkChurchMaster@aol.com, include the name of your
church, address, and church telephone, and we'll forward the necessary information
and forms to be completed. If you have access to a printer, you may go to a printable
church application page. Use your print command on your browser to print your
Church Web-Page Application.
- What do we have to know about web-site technical 'jargon'?
Absolutely nothing! Your church page will become a link and part of the Texarkana
Church Directory. No domain name registration fees or monthly internet server fees
are required on your part.
- Does our church need a webmaster?
Of course not! You don't need a webmaster for your site. What you do need is an
elected person to correspond with the Directory regarding your page. We will take
care of your site, and make sure your site is online and in working order.
- How is church activity information entered into our Calendar of Events?
After your churches initial site set-up is complete, all events for your calendar can be
accomplished via e-mail. You may choose to forward your events by regular mail or
telephone. Church events may be e-mailed at any time, whether listing only one
event or many events.
- Our church isn't listed in the Directory. How do we get it listed?
Send us an e-mail with your churches name, denomination, address and telephone
number, and we'll enter your church into the Directory. (The coverage for Texarkana
Area Churches extends approximately 35 miles from Texarkana).
- We already have a web-site for our church. Can we link from the Texarkana
Area Church Directory?
If your church already has a web-site, we can remove the temporary Directory page,
and place a link directly to your web-site. Simply forward your complete church URL
(www.churchaddress.com) and we'll link your church in the Directory. We will also in-
clude your church pastor in the Pastor's Corner. This is FREE for all Texarkana area
churches with web-sites. Please send us an email with your church web-site URL.
- Our church is listed under the wrong denomination. How do we get this corrected?
E-mail us with the correct information, and we'll re-enter your church under the
proper denomination.
- We need a photo of our pastor and church. How can we have one made?
If your church would like a digital photo taken of your church and pastor for your web-
page, we can make arrangements to take one for you. This is a FREE service for those
churches participating in The Texarkana Church Directory Plan A, Plan B, or Plan C.
Photo appointments can be made only after your church application is processed.

- We would like to have our own Church Domain web address. Can you
help us get our Church registered on the web?
Your church can now have their own church domain name web address. With your own
church domain address, people from your church can access your church web-page direct,
simply by entering your new web address. Other people visiting your church web-site can
also locate you very easily by going through the links in the Directory. Our church URL in
Hooks, www.FUMCHooks.org, is a perfect example of going direct to your web-page. The
total cost for having your own domain name is only $35 per year. If you choose to add this
feature to your church web-site, Email us to set-up a domain name for your church.
- Can you recommend a local web-design business where we can have our
